About the series  Copenhagen studies in Bilingualism is a peer reviewed research series published by the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics, Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen.   Copenhagen Studies in Bilingualism focuses on topics within the fields of:  - bi- and multilingualism - linguistic and cultural minorities - bi- or multilingual education - Danish as foreign or second language - didactics regarding the education of teachers for immigrants and refugees - and subjects of similar character    History and publication process The first book in the series was published in 1985, and Copenhagen Studies in Bilingualism currently have a back catalogue of more than 70 publications which consists of contributions from both Danish and international research.   Copenhagen studies in Bilingualism publishes approximately four books a year.
