About the Press
On this site, you will find publications from selected departments and centres at University of Copenhagen (UCPH). The site was launched in June 2026 and is part of the Royal Danish Library's national e-book platform, Open Books.
The publications are primarily aimed at an academic and professional audience and have been produced in relation to research activities. The publications are freely accessible.

Who can publish?
Open Books gives departments and centres at UCPH the opportunity to publish digital e-books Open Access. The platform is suitable for publishing monographs, anthologies, book series, PhD dissertations, and reports.
If your department or centre is interested in being represented on this site, you need to be registered as a publisher under UCPH. To become a publisher, you need to have your own editorial team that is responsible for the publishing work and for the quality of the publications.
The services at Open Books is free of charge for publishers.

Open Access and copyright
On Open Books, all content is published Open Access. This means that all publications will be openly available without delay or subscription. Authors will not be charged any fees such as Book Processing Charges (BPC).
Most publications are published under a Creative Commons (CC) license. The license allows readers to reuse the content for other purposes under the terms of the license. The license details are provided at the pages of the individual publications.
Authors retain copyright to their publications on Open Books. However, other conditions may apply if the publication has previously been made available elsewhere. In such cases, the copyright conditions are stated in connection with the publication.
